The latest models of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe are based on the platform used on the C-Class, which is not quite appealing to many potential customers.
The E-Class Cabriolet and Coupe were never given an AMG version by the luxury vehicle manufacturer. But, the German company indicated that it intends to offer such a model in the next generation of the E-Class, which may have provided an inspiration to an owner of a Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe 350 CGI V6.
The owner asked the professionals from Mcchip-DKR to swap the stock engine of his luxury vehicle, as indicated on a report from autoevolution.com. The feat performed by the German company is notable as the company did it without any help from any other company. The engine swap may even be comparable to the work of Brabus, which is considered to be the best when it comes to Mercedes engine swaps.
Mcchip took out the underpowered V6 engine from the luxury vehicle and put in a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that is used on AMG models. Mcchip-DKR is actually known for its modification of ECUs of any vehicle in the market. Due to this, the German company increased the power output of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
The engine typically churns out 500 HP of power. However, the tuning specialist added a little boost on the engine allowing it to offer 680 HP of power along with a torque of 664 lb-ft. The boost came from the Stage 3 tuning upgrade from Mcchip-DKR.
In addition to the total engine swap, the tuning specialist also provided the luxury vehicle with the Drexler rear differential to allow the vehicle to manage its huge power upgrade. Adjustable KW shocks and sporty coils were also installed into the E-Class Coupe 350.
The luxury vehicle is currently a work in progress, but once all the work is done, it is expected to become one of the best Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe 350 roaming the streets of Germany.
